Music Picks for Friday, July 23

***Hot Hot Hot***Milagro Saints - Sadlacks (Folk Rock/Jam)
Local Rocker Roberto Morales brings his group to the Neighborhood Music haunt for an early evening show... With a sound that has elements of Widespread Panic, The Subdudes and Rusted Root these guys bring a great sound that is often tried and rarely done right... These guys do it right! This is going to be a great show - and with luck, weather will cool down when the sun goes down - but the music will heat up for some grooving and dancing.... This show is starting around 7-7:30 till 10-10:30

Swagger - Big Easy (Southern Rock)
This local band brings their brand of Southern Rock to the Big Easy for a night of music and dancing. Expect Guitar drenched lyrics with some good ol' southern rock vocals to create a night of swampy southern rock..... These guys have a great stage presence and there should be a great crowd for this 10-10:30 show....

The Royal Nites - Slims (Rock)
Slims kicks off the weekend with a 3 band set to rock out all night. Sugar, Oscar Gambles and The Royal Nites will rock out and definitely will satisfy any Rock cravings you may have. They bring pack a power punch with three guitar driven sound that not only drives the explosive vocals - but also adds and softens the vocal energy when needed. The result is a hi-energy, blended sound that is enjoyable, motivating and depending on the time of night or number of drinks consumed, conducive to slam-dancing... Wear your boots and get ready for a crazy, crazy night....
The Royal Nites are the opening act - expect them to start around 9:30 - then stick around for Sugar and Oscar Gambles.

**Hot Hot Hot**Tres Chicas - Berkeley Cafe (Indie Rock/Vocal)
The Heavy Hitters of the evening, Raleigh Band - and national/international celebrities, they are here for an evening of simply amazing music that will move and inspire all to sit or stand still and listen.... It's our good fortune that these busy ladies are able to get together for a real treat for us... This show is not to be missed!! The world has it's three tenors, Raleigh has the 3 Queens in Lynn, Caitlin and Tonya... These ladies are Royalty - and have National and International acclaim with Tres Chicas and with their respective own projects and previous groups.....
Their vocals and they way the harmonize and blend is simply amazing - just take a listen to "Slip so Easy" and you will know what I'm talking about.... This is great stuff!
As an added benefit, Chuck Prophet is opening. His Folksy/Bluesy style sure to get the crowd riled up and is not to be missed... Expect a 9pm start with Tres Chicas starting somewhere around 10:30
