Music Picks for Saturday, July 31

Raleigh Wide Open - All Day Event Downtown
The best I can do here is suggest the best bands playing and their times - they are as below:
Crucial Fiya - 12:15-1:45 (Reggae)
North Elementary - 3-3:45 (Indie)
Mel Melton & The Wicked Mojos - 4-5 (Zydeco)
Wax Planet 4:15-5 (Indie)
Ariel Down 6:45-7:30 (Rock)
Old Habits 7:30-8:45 (Folk/Bluegrass)
The Design 8-9 (Rock)
This is a FULL day of music!

Zydecopious - Big Easy (Zydeco)
Raleigh's own Cajun connection tears up the Big Easy on Saturday night. Kenny, Rusty and crewe will have your dancing and partying until the wee hours. Consider this the Raleigh Wide Open Afterparty!
The show will start around 10:30 or so...

Second String Band - Sadlacks (Roots/Jam Rock)
For those of you not wanting to fight the crowds downtown, Sadlacks has the perfect solution. Nashville based Second String will jam out its brand of Roots Southern Jam rock for you. This will be a great place to kick back, relax and dance or get crazy only if you want to... Good times and it will be a great show...
Showtime will be 7-7:30...
