Music Picks for Saturday, Jan 16th

After a Slammed Friday with two top-notch acts, Saturday brings three fun shows:

Yo Mamma's Big Fat Booty Band - Pourhouse (w/ Family Funk)
This is show is perfect for those of you needing you weekly Funk Fix. This band is one of the Funk stalwarts of the area. A great party band with a mix of their own stuff and everybody's funk favorites - perfect for letting your hair down and partying... Family Funk opens to get things going. Show should start around 10-10:30....

General Johnson & Chairmen of the Board - Lincoln Theatre
Either you have to have been living in a cave - or you're "not from round here" if you dont know this band. "Carolina Girls" "Gone Fishing" and "Just a little more time" - are Summer Party Songs of this area and in every jukebox in this area. There was a time.... Remember Alive after Five - when there was no just thing as Fayetteville St??? Chairmen of the Board played the last show every year..... How about Longbranch.... Although I stuck to my guns and NEVER went inside that place - I do sometimes wish I went to a COB there.... Heard it was mayhem..... Saturday's show at the Lincoln promises to be the same...... The Executives open the madness....
Be there or be square....

Hank Sinatra - Berkeley Cafe - (Rockabilly / Honkytonk) - (for fans of Dash RipRock, Rebel Son, & Unknown Hinson)
For those of you who like a little cuttin up Rockabilly/HonyTonk, Hank Sinatra will do what Rebel Yell does for you. Cussin, and chantin, Songs about drinkin, fartin, women, and wild times... All fun stuff and in "good" taste....
These guys are VERY talented musicians - if you have a hankering for some Country - this is your stop for the night.....

So many shows... So little time......
