Music Picks for Friday, April 23

The Pheromones - Sadlacks (Rockabilly)
There really isnt anything better than hanging out at Sadlacks on a Friday afternoon/evening and catching some great music. This Friday will be no different as Kenny Shore brings his Pheromones to the deck for a great evening of Rockabilly. With wonderful guitar and a unique brazilian percussion setup, the songs range from rock to country to zydeco (Kenny pulls this from one of his other bands - Zydecopious) Come out, support the band and experiance a true gem in this city - Sadlacks. Who knows, maybe the pheromones (the band and the true definition) will get us dancing....

Hearts and Daggers - Berkeley Cafe (Americana / Southern Rock)
This Raleigh band brings and interesting style of Southern Rock - with a Country Western flair. Kevin Wolfe is a truly gifted vocalist - with heavy influences from Chris Isaak/Johnny Cash -and his supporting cast creates a great sound that captivates you for the entire set. Check them out @ www.myspace.com/heartsanddaggers. Two opening bands will kick the evening off around 9pm or so....

Jerry Joseph & Wally Ingram - Pourhouse (Jam)
This Portland, OR duo is in for the first of a 2 night set that is billed as the Widespread Panic aftershow party.... Both guys have been around the scene for quite some time and they have a great sound that is much like Widespread Panic or The Stockholm Syndrome - check them out after the Widespread show, either night - or after beer fest - which will be held right across the street....
