Music Picks for Thursday, April 8

Dirtfoot - Berkeley Cafe (Gypsy Punk/Rockabilly)
This Shreveport, LA band brings a Gypsy Punk style that is very similar to the stylings of The Zydepunks or Flogging Molly among others.... This is a high-energy set that is most certainly going to get you to want to dance/jump around..... Check them out @ www.myspace.com/mydirtfoot

Holy Ghost Tent Revival - Pourhouse (Indie Punk/Ska)
This Greensboro band is a true up-and-comer in the NC music scene and they are on my "hot" list right now.... Largely under the radar, this band is making some waves and it is only a matter of time with them. They bring the perfect mix of guitar, horns, drums and most importantly, their harmonizing vocals.... If you like Old Crow Medicine Show or The Hackensaw Boys, you will love this band... This is going to be a great set with Sol Driven Train opening the evening for them around 10pm...
Check them out @ www.myspace.com/hgtr - and two great songs "Hammer Fell" and "Getting over your Love"

Bumble - Busy Bee (Electronica)
Once again, Bumble is serving up a solid set of Electronica - and it is the perfect cure for your electronic music fix.... The music here really cant be touched except for brief flashes of brilliance from Jackpot!

  1. Sol Driven Train - rocked the House!!!! Holy Ghost Tent Revial did as well - but that was expected - these guys were an added bonus and certainly worth a 2nd, 3rd and many more shows.....
